TERMS & CONDITIONS
Terms & Conditions of Booking
There can be no variation of these Terms and Conditions, or the financial terms as set out in the booking form without the express consent of The Old Kings Head Hotel Management in writing.
1) Rates & Reservations
a) Rates subject to change without notice.
b) Rates as quoted are per person per night and are inclusive of VAT but not other incidental expenses.
c) Reservations are subject to availability and must be made in advance.
d) The Old Kings Head will issue written confirmation of reservations upon receipt of deposit.
2) Deposits & Payment
a) To secure the booking one of the following is required:
i) A non-returnable deposit of £10 per person per night paid by Credit/Debit.
Or:
ii) Payment in full by either cash or cheque (with valid guarantee card).
b) Provisional bookings will be held for 5 working days after which, if no payment is received, we reserve the right to re-reserve the room(s) for other Customers.
c) The following cards are accepted: American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Maestro, Solo, Visa Electron, JCB.
d) The Old Kings Head will only guarantee reservations once payment has been verified.
e) Personal cheques are accepted provided prior arrangements have been made with management.
f) It is agreed that any food, drink or service not mentioned in the pro-forma invoice will be paid prior to departure.
3) Cancellation Policy
a) In the event of cancellation 30 days prior to arrival, pre-paid deposits are fully refundable.
b) All individual reservations not cancelled within 2 days of the expected day of arrival may be subject to either a cancellation fee or, the full charge applicable at the discretion of the Old Kings Head Management.
c) In the event of a “no-showâ€, the booking Customer will be liable for the full charge applicable to the reservation.
4) Arrival & Departure Times
a) Unless by prior arrangement, rooms are available to Guests after 3pm on the first day and up to 10pm on the morning of departure.
b) Unless arranged previously, rooms not occupied by 7:00pm may be re-let
5) Restaurant Bookings
Booking is recommended for our popular Restaurant. When a Restaurant booking has been made in peak periods, a delay of up to 30 minutes for starters and 50 minutes for main courses may occur between order and service.
6) Pets
In the interests of Health & Hygiene, pets are not permitted in guest rooms or Restaurants. The only exception to this rule is made in the case of Guide Dogs. Well-behaved Dogs are welcome in the Bar at the complete discretion of the resident Dog.
7) Smoking
For reasons of Health & Hygiene and Fire Safety the Old Kings Head operates a strict no-smoking policy in guest rooms. The Old Kings Head reserve the right to charge a cleaning fee of £50.00 when this occurs.
8) Damage, Loss, Breakages, Theft & Conduct
a) The Company accepts no responsibility for the property of customers within the grounds of The Old Kings Head Hotel. Any clothing or goods of any sort deposited in the cloakroom or rooms are at the owner's risk and without any obligation on the part of The Old Kings Head Hotel.
b) The booking customer shall be responsible for any damage caused to The Old Kings Head Hotelâ€s furnishing, fixtures, decorations, equipment, and utensils resulting from any wilful or negligent act on the part of a booking customer or their guest(s), and the booking customer shall pay to The Old Kings Head Hotel on demand the amount required by The Old Kings Head Hotel to make good any such damage.
c) The Old Kings Head Hotel does not permit any food or drink of any sort other than that purchased on the premises to be consumed on the premises (inside or outside), unless with the prior consent (which is in its absolute discretion) of the Old Kings Head Hotel Management in writing.
d) The Old Kings Head Hotel does not allow any entertainment or other services without the prior consent (which is in its absolute discretion) of The Old Kings Head Hotel Management in writing.
e) The Old Kings Head Hotel reserves the right (in its absolute discretion) to judge acceptable levels of noise or other behaviour, which throughout the event remain the responsibility of the booking client. Statutory and Regulatory requirements in respect of fire, licensing, entertainment, health, hygiene, and safety must be observed by the booking customer and his or her guests. The Old Kings Head Hotel Management reserves the right to terminate any event where there is a breach of any of these requirements, without incurring any liability in respect of such termination
f) The Licensee of the Old Kings Head has the right by law to refuse admission to any premises where a licence is held to any person at their discretion not withstanding laws covering Sex, Race or Disability Discrimination.
